Sports Assignment
The weekly 5 p.m. Friday kid's karate class at Azad's Karate showed Master Pranab Banik how they have been preparing for the upcoming belt advancement ceremony. A 10-year-old student shows Master Banik how easily he can fly through the air with his flying kicks.
Really the only down fall of this photo is the back ground, but without a telephoto lens it's pretty hard to do anything about that. Action, timing, and facial expressions are all good.
Just for your information, Pranab Banik holds just a black belt without any dan ranks, which means that he is NOT a "Master." In order to be a master instructor, you need to have 5th dan or higher in any form of martial arts. Please correct this misinformation.
I graduated from Chico State in May with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Cinema Studies. I am currently job hunting and freelance writing in Santa Rosa, Calif.
